Together we enrich each other’s world!

We embrace each and every culture at KinderRijk, as we learn from all cultures! Every child, parent and staff member should therefore feel welcome at KinderRijk.

Accordingly, the year 2024 is dedicated to cultural diversity at KinderRijk. We will introduce the children to cultural differences and backgrounds through all kinds of materials, information and activities. We do this by focusing on cultural diversity in relation to various themes, such as furnishings and materials, communication and language, food and drink, and music and dance.

We will use the set of cards: “We are different together”, which will guide us in the discussions that we will have with each other on this topic. This set of cards is based on the educational framework “Different together” and was developed by Ana del Barrio Saiz and Anke van Keulen, in cooperation with Mehrnaz Tajik, Diana Turkenburg and Clarine de Leve.

The theme kicked off in December with all the managers. Intercultural trainer Sanna Yaseen was invited for this occasion. In an enthusiastic and inspiring way, she showed us how easily we can bridge the gap to another person. By being open to one another and by asking questions.

We’ll get going with this topic together, as together we will ‘Enrich each other’s world’.
