Our Pandora day-care centre is located in Amstelveen’s Bankras / Kostverloren district. At this location, the children are looked after with love and care in a homely atmosphere.
With a team of enthusiastic educational staff members, we provide a variety of activities to ensure your child develops naturally through fun and play. From crafting with free materials (which inspires their imagination and invites children to explore) to playing interactive games outside, which improve social skills and motor skills.
For the older children, we moreover organise activities in separate groups, preparing them for primary school. To this end, we use the Uk & Puk and Logo3000 programmes. As part of the preparation for primary school, we also have a cooperation with the Brede school Omnibus, which is also located in our building.

What does a day look like for us?
Babies are provided a daily schedule according to their own needs. A fixed daily schedule is used for the children who are a little older, as this gives them structure and a solid basis. Our educational staff will be pleased to tell you more about this.

Between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m., we welcome your child and discuss how your child is doing. Parents can stay for a while during the drop-off time to read a book, do a puzzle or play a game with their child. 09.00
After you have said goodbye to each other, we will start at the table. Here we will have something to eat and drink. After that, we sing songs, talk to children about what they are up to and discuss what we are going to do that day. 10.00
There is room for free play and activities aimed at the child’s development. This can be either inside the group, in the spacious gym or outside. 11.30
Lunchtime! We will have a hot lunch together with the children. The older children help set and clear the table. 13.00
The younger children take an afternoon nap and the older children take a rest in the group. Have the older children taken a rest? Then they go off to play freely. 15.00
When most children are awake, it is time to eat and drink something. After this, the children can participate in an activity focused on the child’s development or play freely. 16.00
Between 4pm and 6:30pm, you can come and pick up your child. During this handover time, the educational staff member will take you through the day and will pay particular attention to your child’s growth during the day. If you pick up your child later in the day, between 5pm and 6:30pm, your child will be given another snack, such as a cracker.

During the settling-in period, we take the time to get to know your child and you, and to let you get used to the new situation. Settling in an individual process suited to the developmental stage of children and to the specific needs and habits of the children and the parents.

Hello, I am Yentl van Geffen, location manager of KinderRijk Pandora.
At the age of 18 I started off as a BBL (training on the job) trainee at after-school care. I was instantly hooked and have worked in childcare ever since. And currently as location manager.
I believe it is essential that both children and staff are given the opportunity to develop their qualities and are able to show what they have to offer. As location manager, I consider it my job to ensure that everyone can effectively work on his or her development.
