KinderRijk seminar day: learning, meeting and growing together

KinderRijk’s annual seminar day was held in De Meervaart in Amsterdam on 7 April. Over 500 colleagues gathered on this inspiring day; not only to learn and share experience, but also to meet each other. This year’s theme was: A Promising Future.

Space to grow
At KinderRijk, we believe that the people who work with children every day set the foundation for a promising future. That is why we invest in their development, which was also the theme during the seminar day – on a personal and educational level.

The day was kicked off with an impressive opening performance of dance and video magic. Next, we were guided to the realm of the child’s brain by speaker Jan van der Zwan. How exactly does it work? And how can you tie up with a child’s brain even better as a childcare professional?

Twenty in-depth sub-sessions
The staff attended two sessions of their choice from a wide range of twenty workshops. From multilingualism to AI, from sensitive baby care to samba percussion. Each session provided an enjoyable, in-depth, and interactive workshop.

Meeting and connecting
Besides the in-depth content, there was plenty opportunity for meeting and talking to each other. Great conversations developed among colleagues from different locations. This promotes our mutual strength both within and outside of the group.

A day full of compliments, improvisation and a sense of humour
Dressed in bright pink outfits, the compliment makers gave the staff a surprise with a personal compliment during the day. The cabaret group Op Sterk Water closed the day. Their improvisational theatre, based on input from the audience, provided a light-hearted and fun ending.
