KinderRijk OntdekRijk Expedition (Realms Exploratory Expedition)
The summer holidays got off to a good start at KinderRijk. In the first week of the summer holidays, the after-school care children enjoyed three days of fun and adventure during the OntdekRijk Expedition.
The children got to explore and discover no less than seven ‘Realms’. In CreaRijk (Creative Realm), the children discovered the artist in themselves, in TimmerRijk (Carpentry Realm), they made the coolest constructions and in DansRijk (Dancing Realm), they danced to the happy notes of our own KinderRijk song. The children had a good time in a Brazilian percussion workshop in MuziekRijk (Music Realm), got to show their sporting side in SportRijk (Sports Realm), learnt new words in LetterRijk (Letter Realm) and explored nature in NatuurRijk (Nature Realm). In addition, there were a panna cage and an assault course, and clinics in hockey, tennis and korfball.
Alderman Frank Berkhout visited the Expedition on the last day. He kicked off the song and the accompanying dance of the KinderRijk OntdekRijk Expedition. He then took great pleasure in watching the children having the time of their lives in the seven ‘Realms’. The alderman even participated in the korfball clinic.
The OntdekRijk Expedition has been a great treat for the children. The days were filled with discovery, learning and enjoyment. Just see for yourself…
